Migration River Crossing

Built around one thing: being camped in the northern Serengeti when the herds are at the Mara river, with enough nights there to be patient. A crossing is not a scheduled event. Three nights on the river gives you a real chance; one night gives you a story about the day you missed it.

Itinerario giorno per giorno

Day 1
Arrive Arusha Airport pickup, overnight in Arusha, and a briefing about how the next week works and what the herds are doing this season.
Day 2
Tarangire A full day heading south-west, breaking the journey properly rather than driving through. Elephant, baobab and the first game drive of the trip.
Day 3
Central Serengeti Up over the highlands and out onto the plains, with a long game drive through the Seronera valley on the way to camp.
Day 4–6
The Mara river Three nights in the far north. Mornings on the river watching the herds build on the banks; the crossing happens when it happens, and sometimes it happens twice in a day. Between times there is more resident game up here than most people expect — and far fewer vehicles than the central park.
Day 7
Working back south A slow drive south through the Lobo and Seronera areas, which are quiet once the migration has moved on and very good for cat sightings.
Day 8
Ngorongoro Crater The full crater morning: rhino, lion, the flamingo line on Lake Magadi. Overnight on the rim.
Day 9
Arusha and onward Down through the highlands to Arusha and your flight.
