What This Site Stores On Your Device
Short, because there is genuinely not much of it.

The short version
Browsing this site sets no cookies at all. Two small preferences are saved in your browser's own storage, and nothing is sent to anyone else unless you accept the notice at the bottom of the page.
What is stored without asking
These are kept in your browser's local storage, not in cookies. They never leave your device, they are not sent to us with each page, and we cannot read them from our end.

Both exist to make the site behave sensibly, and it would work — just more annoyingly — without them. That is why we do not ask permission for these two.
What is only loaded if you accept
Nothing is requested from Google until you press Accept. Before that, the pages make no third-party requests whatsoever — no analytics, no tag manager, no fonts loaded from elsewhere. If you accept, Google Analytics loads and sets its own cookies:

We use this to see which safaris people actually read about. We do not use it to build a profile of you, and we do not run advertising trackers on this site.
The map on the contact page
The map does not load until you click it. Until you do, it is a still image served from this site and Google is not contacted. Clicking it loads Google Maps, which sets its own cookies — so the click is the consent.
Changing your mind
Clear your site data for nerasafaris.com in your browser settings and the notice will appear again on your next visit, letting you choose differently. Declining does not reduce anything you can see or do here; the site is identical either way.
If you book
Paying a deposit sends you to PayPal's own site, which sets its own cookies under its own policy. We have no control over those and cannot switch them off — but they are set by PayPal, on PayPal's pages, not here.
Staff logins
The admin area at /admin sets one session cookie so staff stay signed in. It is
strictly necessary, it is only ever set after a successful sign-in, and it does nothing on the
public site.
